I can’t wait to meet you!

I am a Pacific Northwest native and youngest of 5 children. Since graduating from medical school, I have poured my heart and knowledge into opening up Petal and Thorn. I wanted to provide an apothecary for the community while also practicing naturopathic healthcare for patients. I love all natural modalities with my focus being botanicals, IV nutrients, and injections. From a plant to a needle or a petal to a thorn if you will. 

I am very passionate about natural medicine and love using its powerful abilities to optimize your health. I believe that good quality healthcare is your human right and that it should be individualized to the person. Here at Petal and Thorn I work to identify the root cause of illness so we are able to treat the underlying issues and focus on prevention moving forward. My approach to medicine is understanding your health on a mental, physical, and emotional level in order to help guide you to the best of my abilities. Everybody’s health journey is different and I would be honored to assist you in yours.

ABOUt Dr. Colby

Dr. Avery Colby is a Washington State licensed naturopathic doctor. She received her undergraduate degree in biology with a focus in pre-med from Washington State University and received her doctorate from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in Portland, OR. While completing her degree at NUNM she pursued additional education on botanicals and IV therapy. She combines these modalities along with others to provide adjunctive care to treat a wide variety of conditions. She has passed both national board certification tests as well as board exams in pharmacology and minor surgery.
